Freebies take the sting out of Tax Day

You might be expecting a refund from the IRS, or perhaps you've waited until the last-minute to file because you still owe a few bucks to the tax man.

Either way, a boatload of businesses are offering freebies to take a bit of the sting out of your wallet on Tax Day.

Here are a few of the promotions going on Wednesday

• Ice cream chain Maggie Moo's is offering free scoops.
• Mexican takeout Taco del Mar is offering coupons for free tacos if you sign up at their website. Taco del Mar has locations in Annandale and Quantico.
• Cinnabon is giving away cinnamon-roll bites from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
• Chick-fil-A is asking customers to save their receipts. They'll be good for the same order for free until April 30.
• Upscale Chinese chain P.F. Chang's is knocking 15% off orders.
• Online clothing store Zazzle will take 10.4% off your order if you enter the code word TAXDAYZAZZLE.
• McCormick and Schmick's is selling entrees at the bar for $10.40 and giving out dinner certificates worth $10.40 for future use.
