Opera and explosions combine in VDOT video

UNDATED -- Like opera? How about bridges blowing up?

A viral video made by the Virginia Department of Transportation combines the two.

You'll see footage of bridge demolitions from all over Virginia, synchronized to opera music. It includes spectacular video of the 2006 night-time destruction of part of the old Wilson Bridge.

You may not know VDOT has a channel on YouTube. This video was only recently posted there, but it's already been viewed more than 150,000 times.
