Man struck by Metro train at Braddock Road station

WASHINGTON - Metro's Blue Line and Yellow Line have resumed serivce after a man was hit by a train at the Braddock Road station in Alexandria.

At 9:48 p.m. Monday night, a man was struck after witnesses say he stepped onto the tracks intentionally. The man was breathing and conscious after the accident, and was taken to a local hospital.

Delays occurred between the National Airport Metro station and the King Street Metro station. Shuttle buses were provided to riders during the delays.
