A woman was killed in a car accident Sunday morning on the Baltimore Washington Parkway in Anne Arundel county due to treacherous icy road conditions.
Her car skidded sideways and smashed into the back of an ambulance that had stopped for a multi-car crash near Route 32. Bridges and overpasses are particularly treacherous but there are other patches as well.
The roads are being treated but with temperatures still below freezing motorists should drive with extreme caution.
