ALEXANDRIA, Va. - Freshmen at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Fairfax County are being told to go fly a kite. It's a part of an innovative new lesson plan that mixes technology and design with a English lesson on the Afghan novel, "The Kite Runner."
