Marshals Arrest Man in Strip Club Burning

November 7, 2007 - 6:36am
WASHINGTON - A man who allegedly set a D.C. strip club manager on fire has been arrested.

Investigators from the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested Vasile Graure at 9:45 p.m. Tuesday at the Days Inn in Alexandria, Va.

Graure has been turned over to Metropolitan Police to face an aggravated assault charge. He allegedly argued with the manager of the Good Guys Club on Wisconsin Avenue on Saturday night. After the argument, Graure allegedly returned 20 minutes later, doused the 26-year-old manager with gasoline, set him on fire and ran away.

The victim is hospitalized with second- and third-degree burns all over his body.

A news release from the U.S. Marshals Service identifies Graure as a Romanian citizen who has legal permanent residence in the U.S. The release does not give his age or current residence.
