MARC Service Resumes After Gas Leak

October 18, 2007 - 6:04pm
KENSINGTON, Md. - Commuter trains are back on schedule and leaving from Union Station after a gas leak disrupted service Thursday.

MARC Train 881 on the Brunswick Line is canceled. All other trains on the Brunswick Line are running, but with long delays.

Crews have patched the gas leak in the 3700 block of Howard Avenue, near the Kensington train station.

The incident happened just after 3 p.m. when water crews looking for an underground leak accidentally hit the gas line, Montgomery County officials say.
