WASHINGTON - If you happen to look up at the sky and notice F-16 fighter jets flying in formation, relax -- it's nothing earthshaking, just a drill.
For the entire day on Friday, NORAD, the North American Aerospace Defense Command, is performing a series training flights in and around Washington.
These exercises help NORAD better respond to threats in the air like those on Sept. 11, 2001.
Since then, NORAD has been conducting drills and so far has intercepted 2,300 possible threats.
