The snow wasn't enough to close federal offices. The federal government opened with unscheduled leave.

Ice topped the couple of inches of snow that fell, making road conditions treacherous Sunday night, particularly in Virginia, where traffic crawled along Interstates 95 and 395 during the storm.
Early Monday WTOP found areas south of Manassas, Va., with 2 inches of snow covered with ice. In Georgetown and Rockville, Md., cars were topped with ice on top of 1 inch of snow.
Road crews worked around the clock to clear the main highways. Many of the main roads remained wet and slippery during the morning rush hours.
Some side streets remain covered in ice and slush, and lots of sidewalks are icy.
No major problems were reported at Dulles International Airport, Ronald Reagan Washington National or Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.
Forecast
"We're not expecting any more precipitation to fall," says Weather Channel meteorologist David Maddux.
"We will see some melting during the day. The rush hour this afternoon will be a lot more pleasant," says Channel 7 Chief Meteorologist Doug Hill.
The forecast Monday calls for cloudy skies and a high of 41.
