WASHINGTON (AP) — Motorists in Maryland are paying 4 cents less at the pump when compared with a week ago.
AAA Mid-Atlantic said Friday in a weekly report that the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gas in Maryland was $3.44, down from $3.48 a week ago.
The price of gas in the state is 3 cents less than the national average of $3.47.
The average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gas in cities around the state includes $3.42 in Baltimore, $3.53 in Cumberland, $3.38 in Hagerstown and $3.35 in Salisbury.
Motorists in the region are paying 12 cents less than at this time last year when the average price of a gallon of gas was $3.56 per gallon.
