RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — A craft brewery in Goochland County is brewing the official beer for this year’s State Fair of Virginia.
Officials say Midnight Brewery in Rockville is creating a beer called “Virginia Midway” for the event scheduled for Sept. 26 to Oct. 5 at the Meadow Event Park in Caroline County.
The Richmond Times-Dispatch reports (http://bit.ly/1p289Pl) that the beer will be American wheat and pale malt beer with local clover honey. Other craft beers from the state also are expected to be on tap at the fair.
The Virginia Farm Bureau says the beer also will be available at the Country Fest music festival on June 28 at the Meadow Event Park.
