How to get the most out of Cyber Monday

WASHINGTON – Before you start your Cyber Monday shopping, you should know a few secrets to finding the best deals.

Yahoo’s Shine offers up these starting points for shoppers:

  • Amazon.com is a great place to start. Check out its discount table and pay attention to good deals on shipping.
  • Walmart also is offering great deals all week long. You can also get pick it up at the store and avoid any shipping costs.
  • Check out coupon sites such as Coupon Cabin. You can use that site’s store finder to find online coupons for specific sites.

PC World spells out some of the deals you’ll find on Xbox 360, digital cameras and headphones. Be forewarned. Some deals only last a few minutes.

Best Buy is offering a free $10 e-gift card for Cyber Monday shoppers who spend $100 or more online and use store pickup.

If you are looking for Cyber Monday travel deals, USA Today reports you’ll find them to Orlando and New Orleans.

For the best deals, watch for price matching and look for free shipping, reports The Christian Science Monitor reports.

When shopping on Monday, as always, be careful. Use the same credit card for all your shopping and delete your cookies when you’re done.

Also, only buy from sites that you know and trust, and beware of any strange emails you may get asking you for personal information.
