Chipotle coming to 14th Street NW, Capital One to JBG’s 77H

Straight to the permits this Friday morning:

  • 1518 14th St. NW: Tenant up-fit of existing first-floor space for 40-seat Chipotle Mexican Grill “serving burritos for lunch and dinner,” per the permit. But will they have enough beef?
  • 77 H St. NW: Joining Wal-Mart and Starbucks at The JBG Cos. 77 H will be (drum roll please) a Capital One bank branch on the first floor of the mixed-use development, scheduled to open later this year.
  • 1831 14th St. NW: Tenant fit-out of a beauty salon/barbershop, Immortal Beloved, in the commercial space that formerly housed Muleh, which has moved a few storefronts away. Work will include new electrical panels and 10 shampoo bowls.
  • 915 F St. NW: Douglas Development will demolish the rear addition of the historic Equitable Bank Building, which once housed Platinum nightclub. In April, Douglas won the approval of the Historic Preservation Review Board to construct a modern, five-story rear addition. The main bank building, meanwhile, will be restored “and is ideal for an upscale restaurant or retail use,” according to the Douglas website.
  • 1412, 1418 U St. NW: Owner Madigan Associates LP will renovate the two restaurant seating areas, create new kitchens and install new restrooms.
  • 51 N St. NE: Four tents, including one 10×90, for Saturday’s NoMa Beer Fest, sponsored in part by JBG (the property owner), Harris Teeter, Union Kitchen and Trilogy. Chocolate City Beer, Capital City Brewing, Three Stars, District Chophouse, Right Proper and DC Brau are among the participants.
  • 5119 Call Place SE: Construction of a new single-family home.
