GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip (AP) — In the first full day of Israel’s ground assault into Gaza on Friday, airstrikes rained down on targets in the tiny Mediterranean coastal strip and Hamas rockets streaked through the sky toward Israel. Caught between them, civilians sought shelter from the violence and buried their loved ones.
