Report: key suspect behind Foley beheading emerges

WASHINGTON– The London Sunday Times is reporting that American and British intelligence officials are eyeing a British-born rapper as the militant who beheaded journalist James Foley.

According to the paper Sunday morning, Abdel-Majed Abdel Bary, 23, London, is “understood to have become a crucial part of investigations by counterterrorism police and MI5.”

“A senior Western intelligence official” also told told the Fox News Channel that Bary is the suspect believed to be Foley’s executioner.

U.S. intelligence officials are not commenting publicly on the reports.

The Sunday Times identified Bary as a member of a group of at least three British- born ISIS fighters known among former hostages as “The Beatles.”
