Vet saves tiny kitten tossed from speeding car

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — A tiny, 5-week-old kitten tossed from a speeding vehicle in Spokane, Washington, has been rescued and treated for a broken leg.

KREM-TV reports (http://is.gd/0yOKal ) that a witness rescued the kitten Thursday and brought him to Dr. Tami Boettcher at Pet Savers.

The vet says all the witness saw was “the kitten come flying out the window.”

The kitten weighs just over a pound and suffered severe eye trauma, but the vet believes he’ll pull through. She has taken him home so he can receive round-the-clock care.

The witness said she was so focused on the kitten that she didn’t get a good description of the driver.
