Comedian, country singer Tim Wilson dies at 52

WASHINGTON — Comedian and country music singer Tim Wilson died Wednesday after suffering a heart attack, his manager says, according to a CNN report. He was 52.

Wilson, who incorporated country music songs into his act, died in Columbus, Ga., after he finished a show in Michigan, CNN reports.

“I talked to him yesterday afternoon and said he felt bad, was short of breath, and I said, ‘get to the hospital now,'” said Wilson’s manager Chris Dipetta to TODAY.

Wilson was known for his humorous country songs such as “Garth Brooks Ruined My Life” and “First Baptist Bar & Grill” and “The NASCAR Song.”

Wilson is survived by his wife, Deidre, his 24-year-old daughter Sophia and 15- year-old son, Ari. He also has another son from a previous marriage, according to TODAY.
