Holidays are here: Happy Bathtub Party Day

WASHINGTON — Rub a dub dub. The holiday season has finally arrived!

Sick of Thanksgiving and Christmas? Another special day will clean up your hectic shopping schedule.

Dec. 5 is National Bathtub Party Day.

Get out your bath oil beads, soaking salts, bubble mix and scented candles. This holiday, created and copyrighted by WellCat.com, encourages participants to ignore the shower and “recall some of the luxury of days gone by.”

The site suggests inviting a few friends to celebrate the day, making sure you have enough supplies so you can stay in the tub. Don’t forget the wine and snacks, and to assign one person to keep the towels, clean the ring out of the tub, trim the candle wick and guard the toiletries.

Before you get too crazy, check out these Water Safety tips from HubbardSwim.com. Never leave electronics near or over the tub.
