Dozens of vehicles damaged in Woodbridge vandalism

WASHINGTON — Police are looking for whomever caused more than $10,000-worth of damage to nearly three dozen cars in Woodbridge, Virginia.

Prince William County police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok says the vandal, or vandals, struck in the overnight hours, sometime between 9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6 and 6 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7. Perok says there were numerous reports of windows being busted out and some cosmetic body damage.

“About 33 [vehicles], in the area of Jefferson Davis Highway and Easy Street were struck with a BB or pellet-type gun,” Perok said.

The vandalism happened in a shopping area near Occoquan Road and U.S. 1. Perok said the bulk of the damage was reported by one business.

The repairs are estimated to cost $10,500.
