Police seize over $50k in fake fashion accessories

MANASSAS, Va. – A man has been arrested after Prince William County Police raided a business selling counterfeit fashion accessories.

Thirty-five year-old Toufik Lamharhar was charged with one count of infringement.

Police seized over $53,000 in fake merchandise, including purses, earrings, sunglasses, scarves, wallets, necklaces, and other accessories. The counterfeit merchandise were copies of high-priced designer labels.

Police confiscated the items from the Luxury Fashion Accessories, or “LFA”, located in the the Manassas Mall. An investigation had been going on for a month, and police obtained a warrant after an undercover detective bought four counterfeit handbags.

Lamharhar was released on $10,000 bond. The investigation is continuing.
