Rape suspect arrested in Alexandria, Va.

WASHINGTON — Alexandria, Va., police officers have arrested a suspect in a recent rape investigation, in which a 43-year-old woman was raped during a local party.

The incident occurred Aug. 31, between 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. along the 100 block of S. Reynolds Street. According to police information, she was raped by a man she didn’t know.

A 17-year-old male was arrested Friday, and is being held on a detention order for rape and forcible sodomy.
