NEW YORK (AP) — Badgley Mischka celebrated its 25th year with a New York Fashion Week show that featured their signature sumptuous gowns and a queen of glamour — Naomi Campbell.

The supermodel joined Mark Badgley and James Mischka briefly on the runway Tuesday, amid cascading silver balloons, as the duo celebrated their silver anniversary together. The brand is known for delicate, dazzling dresses, and delivered that once again for its spring collection.

It would be easy to imagine which A-list celebrity might wear which gown; most of the designs were not made for mere mortals. There was a smoky silver number that seemed to be a mix of a glittery bodice, underpants and yards and yards of see-through lace; a strapless, beaded top with ruffles at the bottom, paired with a long, matching skirt, and a sleeveless gown with a long train.

“Everything is light, airy, even our gowns which is our core business, you know, with huge voluminous hems. The gowns are as light as a feather, we didn’t even line them, we are showing little crystal bodysuits underneath them,” said Badgley. “Our girls right now are all layered and layered and layered in black clothes for fall, so we like to go the complete opposite way for spring.”

Ruffles were a recurring theme, including a beige jacket with two layers off it, and they also appeared on other looks. And even the more sedate looks were stunners, including a silvery sleek beaded dress with beaded belt to match.

Backstage, Campbell stood alongside the designing duo and joked about her first show with them.

“I just remember the first and now James just told me that I was in a black jumpsuit which, actually, I would like to see if I could get into again. We should bring it out and see if I could fit into it,” she said.

Badgley: “You could.”

Mischka: “You could. She’s more gorgeous than ever isn’t she?”
