Suburban Hospital To Host Kids’ Festival, Pediatric Anniversary — To celebrate the tenth anniversary of its pediatrics unit and to rededicate it in honor of funding from the Shaw Family Foundation, Suburban Hospital (8600 Old Georgetown Rd.) will host a free festival to highlight the importance of healthy lifestyles for kids. The event will include dance and karate workshops, a healthy cooking demonstration, sports competitions, carnival games and appearances from a few Washington Redskins and Washington Spirit women’s soccer players.
