Md. teens indicted for Metro stabbing death

WASHINGTON (AP) – Six Maryland teens have been indicted as adults on murder charges for a fatal stabbing at a Metro station.

Seventeen-year-old Chavez Myers of District Heights was originally charged with first-degree murder and the other five charged as adults with robbery. The indictments announced Wednesday in Washington lodge felony murder charges against the five. Myers still faces a first-degree murder charge.

A total of nine suspects were arrested in the Nov. 17 stabbing death of 18-year-old Olijawon Griffin of Olney at the Woodley Park station. Two other teens face juvenile charges.

Police say Griffin was robbed of an iPhone and jacket while trying to buy marijuana and later confronted the alleged robbers at the Metro station.
