Season ticket holders offered dibs at playoff tickets

WASHINGTON – Redskins season ticket holders will be the first to get their hands on playoff tickets, the team said in a news release Monday.

The decision to give season ticket holders the first crack at tickets follows NFL policy regarding the postseason. The deadline to reserve tickets is Thursday, Dec. 27.

Playoff tickets will go on sale to the public on Saturday, Dec. 29.

The Redskins have held prices for the Wild Card game, meaning they’ll cost the same as general admission tickets for almost 95 percent of season ticket holders.

“We appreciate the support of our great fans and wanted to make sure ticket prices for our potential Wild Card playoff game would be affordable,” said Redskins’ General Manager Bruce Allen in a news release.

There are two ways to reserve playoff tickets.

The “Pay-When-We-Are-In” option requires season ticket holders to reserve seats in advance with their credit cards, which will be charged after the team schedules a home playoff game. Ticket holders can reserve their seats here using their Redskins account ID and password. All reservations are final, and credit cards will not be charged if the Redskins don’t host a playoff game.

The other option, Pay-In-Full, allows ticket-holders to pay with check or money order. There are no refunds or exchanges, and if the team does not host a playoff game, buyers will get credit towards the 2013 season.

Playoff Schedule:

  • Playoff tickets go on sale to general public: Saturday, Dec. 29.
  • Redskins’ final regular season game: Sunday, Dec. 30.
