Nats game only on MLB Network Wednesday

WASHINGTON – The Nationals are home for the first time in the 2012 playoffs, but some fans will still have to leave home to see them play.

Unlike the first two games in St. Louis, Wednesday’s game at Nationals Park will be broadcast on MLB Network. Many television customers with only basic cable or satellite plans don’t get that channel and will look to score a seat at a local bar, restaurant or neighbor’s couch.

Wednesday’s game starts at 1 p.m., meaning most fans aren’t likely to be at home on the couch anyway.

Looking ahead, the rest of the divisional series against the Cardinals will air on TBS.

Game 4 on Thursday starts at 4 p.m. Should the series go to a Game 5, it will begin at 8:30 p.m.

Both the National League Championship Series and the World Series air on Fox.
