Police: Teens tried to rob male in Bethesda tunnel

WASHINGTON – Six teenagers approached a male victim and tried to rob him in a tunnel in Bethesda, Md. Saturday night, police say.

Montgomery County police responded to a call from a parent who reported an attempted robbery and assault in the tunnel that connects the Capital Crescent Trail to the Georgetown Branch Trail.

The victim was taken to a hospital, but his injuries were not known.

There were two other robberies in the tunnel under Wisconsin Avenue near Elm Street in July.
