Gas prices 15 cents higher than a year ago

WASHINGTON – WTOP’s Pain in the Gas Survey shows prices didn’t go up for regular unleaded fuel in the last week, but they are 15 cents higher than one year ago.

The price for a gallon of regular gasoline is $3.82 a gallon — the same as last week.

The price of midgrade went up by 3 cents, to $4 a gallon. Premium increased 6 cents, to $4.15 a gallon. Diesel inched up 4 cents, to $4.06 a gallon.

On Aug. 24, 2011, WTOP’s Pain in the Gas Survey showed the price of a gallon of regular to be $3.67. Midgrade was $3.81 and premium, $3.96.
