Frederick police warn of suspicious incident near Baker Park

WASHINGTON – The Frederick Police Department and the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office are warning citizens to be on alert after high school student reported a suspicious incident near Carroll Parkway near Baker Park Tuesday afternoon.

The Frederick High School student says she observed a silver Honda Pilot drive by her location several times before the driver stopped and asked her for directions to a bowling alley.

The driver began asking the student personal questions, including whether she went to school in the area, and made other inappropriate comments. The driver then left the area.

The school administration and other schools in the area have been notified and a message has been sent to parents. Police and the sheriff’s office in the area will be working together to provide increased law enforcement to the area.

The vehicle is described as a newer silver Honda Pilot. The driver is a white man around 30-years-old with light colored hair.
