Laurel man gunned down in driveway; Police search for suspects

WASHINGTON – Anne Arundel Police are searching for two men responsible for fatally shooting a man in Laurel early Friday morning.

Gregory Robert Sears, 36, was shot in the driveway of his home in the 8000 block of Ians Alley after he was approached by two men.

The unknown suspects left the area on foot.

Officers searched the area but were unable to find the suspects.

Sears was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, where he died.

The suspects were described as two black males wearing masks.

The motive behind the shooting remains under investigation. Police do not know if this was a random or targeted incident.
