Yelp’s 2014 list of the top 100 restaurants in the country, based on popularity and reviews, includes only two in the Washington area.
And one of them is a truck.
El Chilango, a Mexican food truck that hangs out near the Courthouse Metro at 14th Street N. and N. Queen Street in Arlington, comes in at No. 58. Its Yelp rating is 4.5 stars with 248 reviews.
Mediterranean restaurant Komi in Dupont Circle comes in at No. 89 with a 4.5 rating and 471 reviews.
California dominated the list with 47 restaurants.
The top-rated restaurant is Da Poke Shack in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii with five stars and 612 reviews.
A similar top 100 list from OpenTable in December included six Washington area restaurants: Bistro L’Hermitage in Woodbridge, Cafe Renaissance in Vienna, CityZen in D.C., L’Auberge Chez Francois in Great Falls, Rasika in D.C. and Seasons Restaurant at the Four Seasons in D.C.
