FBI, Virginia and Maryland police join Global Police Tweet-a-Thon

WASHINGTON – Local police departments will be joining more than 90 departments from six countries in the first Global Police Tweet-a-Thon Friday.

The FBI and police officers from Annapolis and Prince George’s County in Maryland as well as Richmond and Prince William County in Virginia will join law enforcement agencies from Canada, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Iceland, Australia and New Zealand who will be tweeting about their jobs.

The tweet-a-thon, which is being referred to as a “virtual ride-along,” begins at 8 a.m. and will continue for 24 hours.
