Robbery turns to car chase, crash in Fairfax Co.

WASHINGTON — A residential robbery became a car chase, and then a multi-car accident, on Wednesday night.

It all started on Gleaves Court, in the Alexandria section of Fairfax County. The county police say five suspects drove away and hit several cars — including a county police cruiser — before crashing on Route 1 near South Kings Highway.

The suspects ran away, but they’ve all been arrested. They suffered only minor injuries in the crash. No one in any of the cars they hit were injured.
