NASA postpones rocket launch from Va. facility

WALLOPS ISLAND, Va. (AP) — The launch of a Department of Defense rocket from Virginia’s Eastern Shore has been postponed.

NASA had planned to launch the Terrier-Lynx suborbital rocket early Wednesday morning. The space agency says in a news release that the launch has been rescheduled for Oct. 12 between midnight and 2 a.m.

NASA did not give a reason for the postponement.

The rocket may be visible to residents in the Chesapeake Bay region.

The NASA Visitor Center at Wallops won’t be open for viewing the launch. Real-time launch status updates won’t be available.
