WASHINGTON — A 49-year-old man is under arrest for sexually assaulting a 7-year-old boy at a campground in Spotsylvania, Virginia.
The attack happened in a bathroom of the Indian Acres Campground where the victim’s family was camping.
The boy’s father called police last Sunday saying his son was sexually attacked at knifepoint. The victim and his brother were able to provide detectives with a description of what the suspect was wearing.
On Thursday, police located Edward Alsop wearing the same clothing in the campground and arrested him.
