Chef Geoff’s, Taylor Gourmet among new restaurants heading to Dulles, National airports

A bunch of familiar D.C. names are among the latest round of new restaurant leases signed for Dulles International Airport and Reagan National Airport.

Chef Geoff’s, Taylor Gourmet, &pizza and brb — a burger joint from Reston-based Thompson Hospitality —  are among the new tenants, according to a statement from the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority.

The D.C.-area restaurants follow in the footsteps of local icon Ben’s Chili Bowl, which is opening a restaurant at National, as well as local restaurateur and TV personality Carla Hall, who is also working on an eatery at National.

It’s all part of MWAA’s larger effort to upgrade the retail and restaurant offerings at the airports, including by bringing in more local operators. By the end of the year, the agency expects turnover of  almost 80 percent of the restauran t and retail spaces in the airports.

At National, new tenants Taylor Gourmet and &pizza will join several other new eateries and a  full-service spa announced last month. Grille District, a restaurant and bar, and a new Starbucks are also among the new leases signed for National.
