Residents of Va. town urged to boil drinking water

UPDATE 10:47 p.m. 03/02/2014: The boil order has been lifted.

EARLIER: WASHINGTON — Residents of Lovettsville, Va. are urged by Loudoun County to boil drinking water until further notice.

Lovettsville’s water and sewer system is owned by the town, according to its website. Since 1998, the Town has contracted with Loudoun Water to provide operational services.

The Town and Virginia Department of Health made the recommendation for pressure reduction beginning Saturday, March 1.
