Police: Fairfax man, 23, inappropriately touched girl, 7

WASHINGTON – A swimming instructor at Fairfax’s County’s Oak Marr Recreation Center has been charged with inappropriately touching a 7-year-old girl, according to Fairfax County police.

Police say the child was not one of Eduardo Requejo’s students. They say the alleged incidents were isolated and did not occur at the pool, where the 23-year-old has been an instructor since 2005. He also has worked as a swim coach throughout the Fairfax community.

Police say they started their investigation July 3 after receiving a complaint from the child’s mother that her daughter had been inappropriately touched on several occasions. Detectives charged Requejo on Monday with two counts of aggravated sexual battery, and he turned himself into police.

Police ask that anyone with information relevant to the investigation call Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS/8477, email Crime Solvers or text “TIP187” plus your message to CRIMES/27463.
