Driver’s education teacher arrested for being drunk at Va. high school

WASHINGTON – Driver’s education instructor Michael Hitzges was arrested for being drunk in public after he was found intoxicated at Broad Run High School in Ashburn, Va.

An employee at the high school notified a school resource officer at the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office that Hitzges was possibly intoxicated, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.

Hitzges, 47, has been a teacher at Broad Run High School since 2004. As of Monday afternoon, Hitzges was held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.
