HERNDON, Va. – The parking lot at the Dulles Greene Apartment Complex was full of cars with flat and spare tires Monday afternoon after a weekend slashing spree.

Fairfax County Police says at least 64 vehicles were hit between Saturday night and Sunday morning.

“To have that much damage on one street inside one apartment complex, that is a lot,” says Shelley Broderick, a spokesperson for Fairfax County Police.

Some residents who left town for Thanksgiving have not yet returned to see that they’ll have to replace a tire.

A resident who gave her name as Danielle says her neighbor knocked on the door early Sunday morning.

“I was thoroughly upset, beyond livid,” she says. “Who would do something like this?”

There is surveillance video from the complex, but the image quality is poor.

“We were able to pull a picture from that surveillance video that shows what appears to be three males walking into that apartment complex that night,” Broderick says.

Police describe the first possible suspect as heavyset with light-colored clothing, the second as wearing dark-colored basketball shorts and the third as wearing dark-colored clothing.

Anyone with information is asked to call Fairfax County Crime Solvers at 866- 411-TIPS(8477) or text TIP187 plus a message to CRIMES (274637). A $100 to $1,000 cash reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.
