Women! you are too beautiful and precious for you to be taking that crap. There are people that can help you get away. Again, DO NOT BE AFRAID. Seek for help!

The wrong spokesperson
by Al W. @ 10:56am - Wed Nov 4th, 2009
I'm sorry. Rihanna is more aptly the poster child for being the manipulative female instead of the victim of domestic abuse. Before she came along, Chris Brown was the most sensitive, caring individual you could imagine. Rihanna used that kitty as a weapon and got more than she bargained for when she used it against Chris to make him jealous.

So you're saying manipulative women deserve to be beaten? Lovely. Just lovely. There are plenty of manipulative women that aren't such wonderful people, but that DOES NOT mean they aren't a victim when it comes to abuse as severe as what Chris Brown did to Rhianna.

it depends
Report Commentby littlebigmouth @ 12:29pm - Thu Nov 5th, 2009
it depends on the situation. It was wrong for this chris idiot to raise his hand on a female but then she was sticking her nose where it did not belong. There fight resulted from her finding other women's name and numbers on his cell phone.

correct me if I am wrong but they are not married so he can see who he wants and so can she.

maybe her problem is she still plays with boys when what she really needs is a man.

True
Report Commentby @Mark JM @ 8:46am - Fri Nov 6th, 2009
But they're both pieces of crap. If Chris Brown was the sensitive, caring individual, then he could've been the bigger person and walked away from Rihanna and let her be stupid. He chose the low road instead and beat her face in. I cannot support any man who beats up women, even if they deserved it, for they are not men but mere cowards.

I do not agree with men beating women but, if the man has problems with commitment, he should make that clear in the beginning. In this case, both are in their early twenties! How many of us really knew how to conduct themselves in a proper manner at that age? Most of us, I would venture, had some ideas but not all. Ignorance of youth is the term I believe.
I agree

Ignorance of youth is very true in this instance.

15 minutes of fame? I don't think so.

15 minutes??? try again..she's been a platinum selling artist for years. She's won multiple music awards. Is a spokesperson for covergirl, Gucci, and Clinique.

She was famous well before this incident and I think she will remain famous for a long time to come. She's very talented.

abuse. Some of you dislike the messenger, but get the real message here: more children, girls, women and yes, men-are abused (in subtle and not-so-subtle ways) and shamed into silence more than you know. It needs to stop. Now.

When this first happend one of the local radion stations held a talk show in lieu of music one evening to discuss the issue.

It scared the crap out of me how many young girls called into the station saying things like " Well it she must have done something to piss him off" or "Chris Brown wouldn't do something like that"

I couldn't believe how many of the girls calling in didn't see a problem with what he did.
huh? :-3

Rihanna: Chris Brown 'had no soul in his eyes
Report Commentby Toolboy @ 10:22am - Fri Nov 6th, 2009
He's got no soul in his "music" either (she's one to talk). Corporate DJ's, Auto-Tune and sound engineers; yes. Soul? Nada.
And you don't lay hands on a woman in anger. If you ever feel like you are going to hit a woman, you should find Kanye West and hit him instead.
Funny...
Report Commentby turbo57 @ 12:22pm - Fri Nov 6th, 2009
Right. Do not hit a woman. If she does piss you off, then you need to re think on whether you need her type in your life. As I said earlier in this post, you do not know what you should know in your twenties.
Mostly, you're thinking with the little brain...
what a coincidence...

...she just haaaappens to decide to "share" her story in her own words, although court records and the media have played this out a million times already, she shares with the world on those stupid interview shows at the same time her new cd comes out. I can't believe 20/20 would sink so low, I mean really, who cares about these two other than teeny boppers? They could've both driven off a cliff for all I care. Its just why I dumped Directv and television all together, I'm tired of this KRAP being repeatedly pounded into my airspace. Like Diane Sawyer or anyone at the network gives a darn about this except for some ratings boost.

Report Commentby eduardoelk @ 2:19pm - Fri Nov 6th, 2009
... Rihanna was paid by ABC to "share" her story? It would certainly be a meaningful and credible gesture if she were to donate that fee along with the proceeds from the sale of her forthcoming CD to an organization for battered women.

This discussion is way off topic..................
Report Commentby Mary S. @ 10:14am - Sat Nov 7th, 2009
It is never right for a male or female to abuse anyone else. People need to practice anger management. People can have heated arguments that don't result in violence. It is a learned behavior and the cycle must be broken. It is NEVER OK for this to happen, under any circumstances.
Please stop all of this ridiculous bantering back and forth about things that have nothing to do with the situation. It is most offensive.
