WASHINGTON – Attention pet lovers: Dr. Katy Nelson, veterinarian, will be in the glass-enclosed nerve center Thursday for a live web chat.

Nelson has worked in Alexandria as an emergency vet since 2005, and is the host of “The Pet Show with Dr. Katy” on News Channel 8, which airs at 11 a.m. every Saturday.
A native of Louisiana, Nelson was raised on a small farm surrounded by her beloved pets. She earned her veterinary degree in 2001 from the Louisiana State University’s School of Veterinary Medicine.
