D.C. police ID man found dead in Anacostia River

WASHINGTON (AP) — D.C. police say a man found dead in the Anacostia River has been identified as a Virginia man who disappeared after a Nationals game rain delay days earlier.

Spokesman Officer Araz Alali said Monday that the man has been identified as 25-year-old Tyler Reed of Alexandria, Virginia.

Police in Fairfax County, Virginia, where Reed was reported missing, say Reed left Nationals Park during a 3 ½ hour rain delay on May 5 and went to a nearby cafe.

His body was found in the river on Saturday, less than a mile from the stadium. Police say there were no signs of foul play, but an autopsy will determine the cause of death.
