Police seek information about attack in Northeast (Video)

WASHINGTON — Police need help identifying a suspect in a daytime sexual assault where a woman was attacked at gunpoint in the Northeast neighborhood behind the Minnesota Avenue Metro station.

The suspect was captured on nearby video cameras prior to the 11 a.m. March 1 attack in the 700 block of Barnes Street, NE. See the video below.

The Metropolitan Police Department describes the black man as in his 20s, about 5- foot-7, with a slim build. He has short black hair and a goatee.

Police say the man was last seen wearing a black skull cap, tan jacket over a gray hooded sweatshirt with a single front pocket, white-washed jeans, and black and white Nike Jordan 3 tennis shoes.

Two other women were approached but last week by the man, who may go by the name “Moses,” police say.
