Man claims ‘knockout game’ attack in D.C.

WASHINGTON – A man from the Bloomingdale section of D.C. says he’s the latest victim of the so-called “knockout game” on Friday night.

ABC7 reports that the man, who didn’t share his name, was walking in the area of 1st and W Streets Northwest when he was attacked by a group of at least 10 men.

He was treated and released from a hospital and has stitches and pain in his face.

The knockout game is the result of a dare among teenagers to knock a random person out with one punch. Recent attacks have been widely publicized.
