Redskins honor Navajo Code Talkers

WASHINGTON – The Navajo Code Talkers, a group of young Navajo men who transmitted secret communications on WWII battlefields, attended the Washington Redskins game Monday night and were honored with a video tribute.

The video featured previous speeches from presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush as well as images of the Navajo Code Talkers during WWII.

It is not clear how many from the group attended the game.

The Redskins went on to lose the game to the San Francisco 49ers, 27-6.

Watch the video tribute on the Redskins’ website.
