Thousands of D.C. Public School students will be going to different schools next year because of the latest round of school closures announced Thursday.

Henderson proposes closing 20 D.C. public schools

D.C. Public Schools announced that 20 schools and programs will possibly close, most beginning next fall, to better use school buildings and staff resources. A series of public meetings are planned during the next month to give parents and community members a chance to weigh in on the plan.
