Deaf inmate says D.C. jail denied him interpreters

A profoundly deaf D.C. man says he was wrongly denied a sign language interpreter and handcuffed when he had visitors preventing him from signing during a 51-day sentence served last year at the District's contractor-run Correctional Treatment Facility.
