Why phill it with phillies phans?

It is distressing but over the past few seasons, whenever the Nats played their National League East rival in D.C., almost no one but Phillies fans flocked to the stadium. Which is why the Nationals are doing something special right now called "Take Back the Park" giving people who live in the DC/Maryland/Virginia area (and season ticket holders) first shot at tickets for the first home stand against the Phillies May 4-6th. Making Clint's day???

The red carpet was out and a klieg danced its beam in the air in from of the Smithsonian National Museum of American History for one of the most legendary stars in Hollywood: Clint Eastwood. As part of a special ceremony, Eastwood was awarded the James Smithson Bicentennial Medal for his lifetime of film contributions to American culture. He also presided over the ribbon-cutting for the new state-of-the-art Warner Bros. Theater, opened to the public after years of renovation.

A sweet idea for those who give us sugar

They are always happy to see us when we come home, our pets. The 11th Sugar and Champagne Affair to benefit the Washington Humane Society was held in the Reagan Building and the four legged friends were invited. It honors our local crusaders against animal cruelty: Washington Humane Society's Humane Law Enforcement Officers, Animal Control Officers, and Humane Educators.
