September 14: Palin and Virginia

Wednesday - 9/14/2011, 9:15am  ET

Virginia Democrats are criticizing part of a recent speech by Sarah Palin - in which the former governor of Alaska criticized the D.C. area and its "permanent political class." In her speech, Palin argued that those in favor of shrinking the size and scope of government would need to battle entrenched forces in the D.C. metro area that were unsympathetic to the recession. According to the Hill, some democrats say Palin's comments show she doesn't understand what Virginia families are going through.
